XRP is testing a key technical level after rebounding above $1.42, as a broader recovery in cryptocurrencies lifts the token alongside Bitcoin and other major altcoins.
The move has put XRP back in focus for traders watching for signs of a larger breakout. Analyst Dark Defender sees $7 as the first major target under his latest Elliott Wave analysis, while maintaining a longer-term projection of $333.
XRP has risen about 4% as Bitcoin climbed back above $81,000 alongside gains across major altcoins. Dark Defender said his breakout thesis does not depend on progress on the CLARITY Act, keeping his analysis focused on XRP’s price structure.
Dark Defender Keeps His $333 XRP Target
Dark Defender has previously mapped out a much larger XRP move using the token’s three-month chart. His analysis points to a long-term uptrend that dates back to XRP’s early trading history.
“No matter how you approach it, #XRP targets stay the same. Grand Wave 3 builds on the 3-Month time frame towards $333,” he wrote.

His analysis uses Elliott Wave theory, which attempts to identify recurring patterns in market cycles. Dark Defender considers XRP’s move to around $3.66 as the first wave, followed by a decline toward $1.30 that he identifies as a second-wave correction.
The next stage, in his view, would be a larger third wave. His chart marks potential Fibonacci levels at $1.88, $2.90, $18.23, $36.77, $74.40 and $333.12.
Dark Defender’s chart shows XRP reaching roughly $333 before pulling back toward $18.23. It then shows another advance that could eventually take the token above $1,000.
For now, the $333 level remains a long-term technical projection rather than a near-term price target. At $333, XRP would trade about 234 times its current price of $1.42. Assuming 60 billion XRP in circulation, that would put its market value at roughly $20 trillion.
Reaching that level would require a dramatic increase in demand. Elliott Wave patterns and Fibonacci projections can outline possible price paths, but they do not establish that XRP will reach those levels.
XRP Daily Chart Points Toward $7
Dark Defender’s shorter-term XRP analysis points to $7 as the first major target. The token is now approaching a technical resistance area that could determine whether the latest recovery continues.
“Dark told you, with or without the Clarity-Act, XRP breakout is the pattern. Road to $7, first.”

On the daily chart, XRP is recovering from the pullback that followed its August rally. A descending trendline connecting recent lower highs is acting as resistance, while recent price action has brought XRP closer to that barrier.
Dark Defender’s chart highlights $1.2939, $1.3798 and $1.4445 as important Fibonacci levels. XRP is trading around $1.42, putting it just below the $1.44-$1.45 area.
A sustained move above that zone would strengthen the technical setup described by the analyst. A rejection would leave XRP below the next resistance levels and could delay the move toward higher targets.
The next level on the chart is the previous high near $1.6992, followed by targets at $1.8815 and $2.9032. Dark Defender’s projected Wave 3 eventually extends to about $7.08.
His longer-term chart then shows a potential pullback toward $4.10 before another advance toward $10.11. These levels are technical projections based on his Elliott Wave and Fibonacci analysis, rather than guaranteed price outcomes.
Ali Martinez Watches $1.55
Another technical analyst, Ali Martinez, is watching a separate setup that could point to further gains for XRP if the token clears a key resistance level.
In an analysis published Sept. 18, Martinez said XRP was forming the right shoulder of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, a chart formation often used to identify potential trend reversals. He places the pattern’s neckline near $1.55.

The setup developed through several stages. Martinez identifies the left shoulder around May, while XRP’s decline toward $1 in August formed the head. The recent recovery is shaping what he sees as the right shoulder.
A move above $1.55 would complete the breakout condition in Martinez’s setup. His analysis points to a potential 35% move from the neckline, which would place XRP near the $2 area.
Until XRP clears that level, the pattern remains incomplete.
XRP is therefore approaching several technical levels identified by the two analysts. Dark Defender is watching $1.44-$1.45 first, followed by the previous high near $1.70 and targets around $1.88 and $2.90 on the way to his $7 projection. Martinez’s setup puts the focus on $1.55.
Dark Defender’s $333 projection comes from his long-term Elliott Wave analysis and remains a distant scenario rather than a near-term price objective. For the current recovery, the $1.44-$1.55 range represents the nearest area of interest, while a decline could bring $1.38 and $1.29 back into focus.
